Robust, Computationally Efficient Formulations for Solving Dynamic Optimization Problems Using Direct Collocation
Friedl De Groote from KU Leuven, Belgium and BJ Fregly from the University of Florida have recently published their results in the
Annals of Biomedical Engineering comparing different direct collocation optimal control formulations for solving the muscle redundancy
problem. Their MATLAB code, together with OpenSim models and experimental data to solve the muscle redundancy problem in the leg during walking and running, is available on
SimTK.
