Dear Simbios Friends,
Simbios has built a new publication repository that highlights publications
and links them to the research data and software behind them. While
publications are the principal means for sharing research results, making
the code, the data and parameter files available will maximize the impact of
your publication and allow others to reproduce and build upon your research.
The repository is built upon Simtk.org, and we hope that it will become a
central site for Simbios researchers and others working in physics-based
simulation of biological structures to share everything (the tools, data,
instructions,.) needed to replicate their published research. We envision
this new resource enhancing the research process, providing all the material
needed to jump start other studies, enabling new discoveries in the field,
and increasing your citations.
Explore the repository
Try it out and let us know if you have any suggestions for improvements.
Here are some examples of publication projects that have been established
within the repository:

We need your input to build up the repository
We would love to have you create your own publication project (click the
"Create Project" button to get started). If you have a project on Simtk.org
that appears to have much of what's needed, you can also convert it to a
publication project via the Overview->Update link. We are here to provide
any assistance needed.
And if there are key papers in your field that you think would be useful to
include as publication projects on Simtk.org, please let us know so that we
can ask those authors to contribute to the repository. We want to build
this into an invaluable resource for you.
Regards,
Joy Ku
