[Feature-users] FEATURE 3.1 Release

The FEATURE team is pleased to announce the release of FEATURE 3.1. Release date 3rd March 2014.

Changes for FEATURE 3.1 release:
- Improved accuracy for HIS residue properties
- Simpler, more reliable build
- Option to optimize speed for modern C++ platforms

Changes for FEATURE 3.0 release:
- Improved property accuracy
- User-selectable properties
- Unifies property lists form FEATURE 2.0 and FEATURE for metals
- Uses smart caching techniques for speed improvements
- Improved I/O performance
- Easier process for developers to add new properties
- Simplified architecture (60% less code, 70% more documentation)
- Nightly build tests to confirm accuracy
- Deprecated the LISP model format

To download and install:

Login or register with SimTK at https://simtk.org/home/feature. Then go to “Downloads” and click on “feature-3.1.0-src.tar.gz” for the source code and “feature-user-manual.pdf” for the FEATURE User Manual. You will need a PDF reader (such as Apple Preview or Adobe Acrobat Reader) to view the user manual.
