Hello All,

Thanks for the invitation.

At the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health, we have an
interdisciplinary group meeting under a "big data' label to grapple with
issues of using health care data to answer population health questions
- estimating risk factors, comparative effectiveness research, treatment
heterogeneity - and what we might/need to do to structure the data to be
able to usefully address the questions. Not just matters of data structure
for computational issues, but also how to collect/make available more
meaningful patient outcomes and at what times to avoid the same biases that
exist with current data sources.
