Greetings to all population modelers, and especially those working on
emergency related population modeling.

Madolyn Smith the editor of the European Journalism Centre's (EJC)
Emergency Journalism has made contact with me and was interested in our
population modeling activities. She is involved in the following web
portals:
ejc.net | datadrivenjournalism.net | emergencyjournalism.net

Many of the modelers on this list model emergency situations such as
disease outbreaks or population response to disasters. These modelers may
be interested in seeking additional exposure in emergencyjournalism.net

Other modelers dealing with population data may be interested in seeking
exposure in datadrivenjournalism.net

I know many of you publish in many scientific venues that are
aimed scientific audience. However, as scientists we should also get
exposure to wider audiences. Madolyn represents portals that include a
larger variety of readers ranging from novice to more advanced data
practitioners.

For those interested in such exposure, please contact Madolyn directly via
email and expose her to your work, and please mention the population
modeling working group. Her email is: smith at ejc.net

Hopefully enough of us will pursue this opportunity to make some impact.

            Jacob
