Webinar on AddBiomechanics to Auto-Process MoCap Data; Call for Pilot Projects

Webinar on Software for Automatically Processing and Sharing Motion Capture Data Wednesday, September 20, 2023, 9:00 AM Pacific Time We are pleased to announce our upcoming webinar with Keenon Werling from Stanford University entitled “AddBiomechanics - Lowering the Barriers to Musculoskeletal Modeling and Large-Scale Discoveries in Biomechanics.” He will present an overview of AddBiomechanics<http://addbiomechanics.org>, a freely available web application that automatically generates scaled musculoskeletal models, joint angles, and torque trajectories that best fit your motion capture data. Mr. Werling will cover the validation of the tool, introduce the new inverse dynamics features, discuss the data sharing vision, and guide participants through a hands-on tutorial of uploading and processing motion capture data. This event will be hosted jointly by the Mobilize and Restore Centers. The program awards seed grants to innovative and meritorious projects that will accelerate the use of sensor and video technology in rehabilitation research and will advance real-world monitoring and delivery of medical rehabilitation for individuals with impaired movement. Projects of particular interest are those that use or extend tools that are supported and disseminated by the Restore Center, such as OpenCap<http://opencap.ai>, OpenSense<https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8443/display/OpenSim/OpenSense+-+Kine…>, and Sit2Stand<http://sit2stand.ai>. The mission of C-STAR is to leverage the collective experience of clinicians, scientists, engineers, and patients to support the smart use of technology to assess motor and cognitive performance and/or outcomes in laboratory, clinical, or community settings. They are seeking projects that will make significant clinical impact and lead to successful grant applications to NIH and other national funding agencies.
