Week of April 6, 2009 

  

OpenMM 

* Pursued collaborations with target MD groups
   -- Teleconference set up with Desmond developers for 4/21
   -- Ross Walker of AMBER sounds committed, probably coming to June workshop;  more details next week

* To do next week:
   -- Revise workshop agenda to include an AMBER track

OpenSim
* Added content to gallery of examples (previously empty)

MSMBuilder 
* Greg has easy Linux install process working

* To do next week:
       -- Review Greg's draft documentation
       -- Test install and running of program on Mac and Linux platforms on my own
                              
RNA Workshop 

* RNA Society meeting panel – panelists and moderator confirmed.  Information forwarded to meeting organizer
* Workshop registration open;  Announcement sent to targeted individuals
* Initial testing of RNABuilder and NAST/OpenMM-Python - very preliminary but have run into issues that need to be resolved with developers before further testing
 
* To be done next week: 
      --Continue testing RNABuilder 
      --Continue testing NAST/OpenMM-Python version 
      --Continue planning for RNA Society workshop, as needed
      --Send out workshop announcement to general public

Zephyr
* Drafted agenda for one-day scientist-focused workshop
* Conducted user feedback session (with 3 users) - setting up own PDB file with Zephyr can be time-consuming!
       
* To be done next week: 
      --Revise workshop agenda and figure out how it fits in with OpenMM developer workshop


Testimonial letters
* Drafted letter for SAFA users - none sent yet;  on-going discussion with Russ and Alain about which users to target
* Sent requests to Charley Taylor for SimVascular users and to Jung-Chi Liao for myosin DBP researchers to contact

* To be done next week:
      --Follow up with requests

* March numbers posted.  Numbers continue to steadily improve
      --# publications acknowledging grant = 113
      --# Simtk.org members:  > 4700
