Greetings to all Modelers on this list,

MODSIM organizers asked to forward this call for abstracts and challenge
competition.

MODSIM world is an annual conference in Virginia. This year it will be held
on: April 25-27, 2017

If you ask my personal opinion, it is highly recommended mainly due to
networking opportunities. I personally made many helpful connections there.

MODSIM World 2017 will once again feature the Modeling and Simulation (M&S)
Challenge Competition.



MODSIM World 2017 wants to cultivate an environment, in this age of data,
where talented individuals can use the power of M&S to solve problems
important to their community, government, business or industry sector.
Developers, analysts, and subject matter experts can all participate in
this unique competition and demonstrate the power of M&S.

Participating teams will have approximately ten weeks to develop a solution
for a real world problem, using Modeling and Simulation.



To enter, merely submit a challenge competition abstract to MODSIM World
2017. Selected entries will be invited to participate in the competition
leading to final judging at the MODSIM World 2017 conference in Virginia
Beach where an award will be presented to the winning team. Rules and
judging criteria are available at the MODSIM World website (

Competition registration is open from 1 October 2016 to 7 December 2016.
