[Population Modeling] PopModWkGrpIMAG-news Digest, Vol 34, Issue 3 Olaf seeking collaborators.

I note some question about the use of the group to seek collaborators for a PopMod related project.

I would suggest that such use of this vehicle for such purpose is most encouraging. It's what makes a "working group" work and in this case is a good sign the there may be a synthetic population modeling community forming. Anyone else looking for collaborators or having other ideas to share or issue to raise? Let's hear what you think.

In essence, I'd like to "reverse engineer" population datasets based on available risk information and multivariable associations between risk factors. Point is to see whether we understand how populations come to look like they do in terms of risk factor distribution. Goal is to simulate public health interventions by risk factor elimination. My particular area of interest is disorders of the brain and retina in preterm newborns.
